Neil Peart’s 2004 DW R30 Edge Concert and Video Played Snare Drum. AUTHENTICATED! $249,995.00
Neil Peart’s 2004 DW R30 Edge Concert and Video Played Snare Drum. AUTHENTICATED!
This was Neil Peart’s main snare used on RUSH’s 2004 R30 Tour. It is not a replica or commemorative re-issue. It’s the real deal.
Of all Neil Peart’s iconic drum sets, his R30 set is perhaps the most iconic. I know that statement opens a massive can of worms, but the stunning R30 set with its inlaid Rush icon graphics, could easily claim the spot at the top of the heap.
The R30 set was made for the 2004 Rush tour of the same name, commemorating 30 years of the band’s definitive formation following Peart joining in 1974.
This DW 6×14 Edge snare was Peart’s main snare drum on that tour as indicated by the “A” sticker on the throw off and as confirmed by Peart’s trusted drum tech Lorne Wheaton. The snare is also the drum used on Peart’s “Anatomy Of A Drum Solo” video.
Peart gave the snare to Lorne Wheaton after retiring set in 2005. Renown drum builder Ronn Dunnett (Dunnett Classic Drums, George Way Drum Company) has made several snare drums for Peart and acquired the snare directly from Wheaton in 2011. The snare is in near perfect condition however some very minor signs of use can be seen in the photos.
The drum is unique in its absence of a stamped DW order number.
Includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Ronn Dunnett plus a copy of the message from Lorne Wheaton confirming the drum’s history and authenticity.
“White Glove” expedited shipping included.
