What a cool drum!! One of the rarest and collectible drum finishes ever made. Seen on the cover of the 1930 Leedy Drum Catalog “S”. This drum is a spectacular vintage beauty. Single tension. Structurally the drum is perfect. The round hole seen in the pics appears to be an original vent hole. A close look at the finish reveals several cracks in the pearl finish that run around the full circumference of the drum. Look at the photos. You have to look very close to even see them, but they’re definitely there. No cracks in the wood shell. The original calf heads are virtually perfect with just some tearing of the skin on the flesh hoops that does not extend to the the playing surface.
