Fender AVRI Series – Tom Hamilton’s Aerosmith, Sweet Emotion Video Jazz Bass, Sunburst (#91) – $13,995.00
We just received about 120 basses, guitars and amps from Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith. Tom is a founding member of Aerosmith. After 50 years in one of the hardest touring bands ever, he’s accumulated so much gear that’s he’s asked us to help put it in the hands of people who can dig in on it as much as he has. This gear has made rock and roll history on the world’s largest stages and most intense studio scrutiny. Now it’s your turn to take it, and make your own rock history.
From the Tom Hamilton Aerosmith Collection. From the earliest days of Aerosmith, Tom Hamilton’s Sunburst Fender Jazz Bass was one of his “go-to” basses. When the band decided to make a video for the 1991 re-issue of their 1974 mega-hit “Sweet Emotion” Tom chose this Fender American Vintage Reissue Jazz Bass (AVRI) for the job. See Tom playing this bass below in the Sweet Emotion Official Video. Tom can be seen playing the same bass during the making of Aerosmith’s 2012 “Music From Another Dimension” album. The bass was also featured in the band’s museum exhibit at their Las Vegas residency.
This Jazz bass has played a significant role in the legacy of America’s greatest rock band. It shows clear signs of use and remains in excellent condition.
Acquired directly from Tom Hamilton. Tom’s tech personally inspected the guitar. He adjusted the neck, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, sprayed the pots and installed new strings. The guitar is in excellent working condition with no notable issues. The guitar is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag. It includes a hardshell case, one of Tom’s custom Aerosmith guitar pics and a certificate of authenticity signed by Tom Hamilton.
While supplies last; we have a stack of Tom Hamilton’s bass guitar straps, in which we will include one plus a set list with every bass order until we run out.
