In 2009 the Ludwig drum company honored Bun E. Carlos, one of the companies most fervent endorsers, with a very limited edition signature model drum set. Only 50 sets were made and all sold out virtually immediately. Bun E Carlos’s history with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member band Cheap Trick coupled with this set’s amazing sound and great looks made it an instant classic and thus extremely popular with both collectors and players. There are a few things that make this particular set unique. Of the total of 50 sets made, most were built with small Classic lugs. This set is one of only a few sets made with large Classic lugs. The standard configuration of the Bun E. Carlos set included a 24×14″ bass, 16×16″ floor tom, and a 13×9″ rack tom. This set includes a matching 14×14″ floor tom making it the only set made with 2 floor toms. In addition, the Ludwig logo bass drum head is personally signed by Bun E. Carlos.

The set is made with Ludwig Legacy 3 ply maple shells wrapped in Bun E’s signature Citrus Mod Glass finish. All of the original signature set drums include a special Ludwig 100 Year Anniversary badge, a Bun E. Carlos Limited Edition badge, and a signed paper tag that indicates the set’s order in the total of 50 sets made. The 14×14″ floor tom was added as a special order. It includes the signed paper tag and 100 year anniversary metal badges but does not include the metal Bun E. Carlos Limited Edition badge.

The set is in virtually perfect condition with no notable wear or damage. The photos depict the condition accurately. The set will ship from Seattle, WA. We will ship internationally. Snare stand not included.
