One of Brad’s vast arsenal of amps used to create and expand his legendary Aerosmith tone.

“MIG-50s tend to have a big Bassman sound, but with a bit more harmonic low-end,” he said. “It’s an interesting take on a legendary circuit, and it sounds massive – perfectly suitable for rock, rhythm, blues, and doom!”

Built in Russia, Sovtek was one of the first foreign business ventures following the fall of the the Soviet Union. Named after a Russian fighter jet. Released in 1991, Sovtek’s MIG-50 was the company’s first offering. Designed by New York ampmeister Tony Bruno, it used an abundance of military-grade components.

Acquired directly from Brad Whitford. Brad’s guitar tech personally inspected the amp and confirmed it was in excellent working condition with no notable issues. The amp is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag. It includes a certificate of authenticity signed by Brad Whitford.
