This Tama single ply Artwood snare drum is a fantastic sounding drum is excellent condition. This one-ply maple shell with reinforcing rings snare drum once belonged to early Santana drummer Graham Lear. I have no documentation to prove this so the price does not reflect any premium for it’s history. Just an interesting part of it’s story. At one point Lear had mounted a May internal mic in this drum which required drilling a hole to fit the mount. We very cleverly filled the hole with a Gretsch key holder. A May internal mic could easily be re-installed. The drum is in otherwise near new condition. A little tarnishing around the badge is the only sign of wear on the drum. The photos depict the condition of the drum very accurately. No surprises. The original Tama cloth carrying bag is included.
