The early Pearl Jupiter model snare drum has been the secret weapon of top studio drummers for years. The Jupiter is the drum you hear Stewart Copeland cracking on those early Police albums. The shell is brass underneath the rather thin early Japanese chrome plating. This one arrived with 40 plus years worth of grime and well worn old Remo Ambassador heads. I’m not going to mess with this drum’s magic. I’m leaving it just the way I found it. In the words of Elvin Bishop “She ain’t good lookin’ but she sure can play”.
