Ludwig 1979-80 6.5×14″ Supraphonic 402 Snare Drum $599.00,
This is the drum that put hard rock on the map. It’s older brother, the 5×14″ Supraphonic 400 paved the way amongst the early rock drummers of the 1960s and 1970s. As rock and roll got louder the burlier 6.5×14″ 402 model proved to be the perfect weapon to combat the Marshal double stacks that were now lining concert stages everywhere. Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Bad Company are just a few of the countless early hard rock bands that built their signature sounds on the sturdy foundation of the 402.
The 2110631 serial # dates this snare around 1979-1980. The drum is in great shape for its 40 years. Structurally flawless. It’s 100% original. Just some minor pitting and flaking that you can see in the photos. Newer Evans batter head. Puresound snare wires. This drum is ready to rock, straight outa the box!
